Happy New Year! As it fits so well with my pessimistic self, I have given 2011 the good old middle finger and put on my dancing shoes in anticipation of 2012. It is going to be the end of the world, don'tcha know? Ahh yes, December 21, 2012, a day that shall live in infamy until it passes with no apocalypse.
Truth be told, for all the hardships endured during 2011, it really wasn't that bad. I am planting myself firmly in the "life is what you make it" crowd. I'll be the first to admit that it isn't all rainbows and sunshine, but in the immortal words of a college friend, "nothing's so bad that it can't get worse." With that in mind, cheers to fresh outlooks...
